COMMUNITY MEAL

Wednesday evenings, mid-September through April, 5:00-6:30 pm, Westwood hosts a meal before Wednesday evening programs (Worship, Confirmation, and rehearsals) for participants and those of our wider community. A free-will offering and many volunteers help to keep it going!

The meal includes an entrée, vegetable, fruit, and dessert.

Wed., Oct. 7 - Spaghetti & Meatballs, Garden Salad, garlic bread, baby carrots, Orange Smiles, Pizzelle Cookie

Wed., Oct. 14 - ​Hoagies with turkey or ham, cheese slice, chips, coleslaw, celery sticks, mandarin oranges, Oatmeal Craisin Cookie

​Wed., Oct. 21 - ​Hot dog, brats or Impossible Brat on a bun, pasta salad, veggies & dip, chips, watermelon, Monster Cookie

Wed., Oct. 28 - Pizza! cheese or pepperoni, Garden Salad, baby carrots, fresh pineapple, Halloween candy for dessert

Wed., Nov. 4 - Butter Noodles & Creamy Chicken, green beans, baby carrots, cauliflower, Orange Smiles, Pumpkin Bars

Wed., Nov. 11 - Pancakes (syrup: regular & sugar free), sausage patty, celery sticks, apple slices

Wed., Nov. 18 - INVITE FRIENDS NIGHT! Meatballs, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, Orange Smiles, Ginger Snap Cookie

Wed., Nov. 25, Thanksgiving Eve - NO MEAL, 6:30 Worship, 7:15 Pie Fest

Wed., Dec. 2 - Taco Salad, tortilla chips, lettuce, shredded chicken, black beans, cheese, sour cream, salsa, apple slices, Chocolate Chip Cookie

Wed., Dec. 9 -  Grilled Cheese Sandwich & Chicken Noodle Soup, crackers, baby carrots, cucumber slices, M&M Cookie

Wed., Dec. 16 - Holiday Dinner: Ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, baby carrots, Strawberry Fluff, Christmas Tree Cupcake

We'd love your help.

People of all ages are encouraged to volunteer, please join us!

On Wednesdays during the program year, a terrific team of volunteers prepares meals for the communities of Westwood and St. Louis Park.

Help is needed:​

  • Bakers for desserts (sign up for 2027 Tuesday baking days)

  • Driver to pick up bread from Breadsmith, Tuesday evenings

  • Food preparation/serving, Wednesdays 3:00 pm

  • Dishwasher, on Wednesdays evenings

  • Laundry, pick up and wash after-meal laundry​​
