CHRISTMAS 2020
As the holidays drew nearer, we kept hoping that numbers would go down far enough to where it would be safe to gather in our beautiful Sanctuary and feel the warmth of our church community around us. But this year will be different. We will provide spaces to grieve together and to rejoice together, but it is clear that to endanger any who would come to a worship service, risking the health of anyone and the spread of this virus, would be unwise. Most other ELCA churches in our city have made this same decision. And yet….
While this is hard, we have imagined some new ways for how we can keep Christmas “together” …ways that will still bring the peace, the joy and the hope that Immanuel (“God with us”) came to give us.
"Christmas Festival of Music"
Sunday, December 27
Will be a very special online service of Readings & Carols with lots of special Christmas music.
Let's make a shared Christmas card!
post a Christmas photo, video or a few words!
Add your Christmas card or your favorite picture from the year and a short update to our Virtual Greeting Collection. Simply drag and drop your photo onto the webpage or hit the plus button in the bottom left corner. Then type a one or two-sentence update in the comment with your photo/video! This will be a great way to see how kids have grown over the past year, and actually hear from our church family since we aren’t bumping into one another right now!
