This Sunday, April 5, tune into Worship!
We encourage you to gather whatever greenery, plants, construction paper you have in your home as you tune into the Palm Sunday service online this Sunday.
This Sunday's service will be uploaded by Sunday morning.
WWU: Lent Guest Speaker
Our Westwood U speaker this Sunday is Dr. Darrell Jodock, who will wrap up our Lenten series “Who Am I? Deepening Our Conversations About Race.” We are grateful to Dr. Jodock for helping us frame this series theologically as we explored housing and education in our communities through the lens of race.
Wednesday Holden Evening Prayer
Join us for the next service on Wednesday, April 15, at 6:30 PM
for Live Streamed Worship via Zoom!
We’ll be gathering for Holden Evening Prayer tonight on Zoom!
Zoom is a video calling platform where we can all see one another’s faces, so that we feel like we’re able to be in community together even though we are physically separated. Participants will be muted, and are invited to open the document below for the words to sing along in your own home. Click “join with computer audio” to hear the service.
If you’d like to join by phone, dial 312-626-6799 and enter meeting ID 366 530 426 (you don’t need a participant ID)
Looking forward to seeing many of your faces online and worshiping together in virtual community!
PLEASE HELP US CONNECT WITH OUR MEMBERS WHO ARE NOT ONLINE!
If you know of anyone who is NOT online, there are a few ways you can help:
Please pass on the name to Heidi Johnson, our interim Dir. of Congregational Care, so we know who is not being reached with our online ENews and worship. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
We’d like to make sure they’re getting phone calls and feel connected to their church family during this difficult time of isolation. If you could check in with them weekly…or let Heidi know and we’ll find them a Phone Friend.
Make sure they have this cable TV schedule below for worship. (see schedule below)
Print out the ENews that you’re receiving on email with the devotions and updates and mail or deliver to their mailbox. Because the church is closed, they are no longer getting bulletins mailed to them, which for some, was their only connection to Westwood activities, the prayer list, etc.
Together, WE ARE the hands and feet of Jesus! Thank you for BEING the church during this time when we cannot gather together!
