Spring Communion Training
Sunday, March 8 | 12-1:30 PM | Westwood Room
Join us as we learn more about the sacrament of communion and the meal that is given for each and everyone one of us. If this is your first-time taking communion or the five hundredth, you are welcome to be part of this conversation. We will have stole kits available for those who would like to celebrate their first communion at an upcoming communion service. Westwood practices open communion, encouraging parents to choose the right time for their child. This conversation is helpful in making that choice, understanding why you already made that choice, and helping your child to understand why we get to “taste and see that the Lord is good” in this holy meal. RSVP here or below for lunch and stole counts.
Sundays
Both services contain an identical sermon and scripture readings. Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month.
8:45 am
A traditional service led by organ and choir, featuring hymns and sung liturgy.
10:45 am
A contemporary service led by a worship team, featuring popular worship songs and a relaxed atmosphere.
Wednesdays
6 pm
(From September-May)
A family-oriented service aptly named “Messy Worship.” This hands-on worship service is led by a bluegrass band and includes leadership roles for worshipers of all ages. Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.
12 pm
(During Lent)
A reflective service led by piano that relates to the season’s theme, followed by a soup lunch.
6:30 pm
(During Advent & Lent)
An evening service featuring sung liturgy, guest speakers, and special music.

How to set up Electronic Giving online
In these 4 easy steps, you can set up your electronic giving through Westwood Connect
Westwood Connect is Westwood's database software
There is no cost to you in using this option
1.
Login to your Westwood Connect account.
If you don’t yet have an account in Westwood Connect that's not a problem! Select “Request Account” and a staff person will validate your account within 24 hours so you can log in.
2.
Once you’ve logged in to your new profile page, click on the “My Giving” tab on the left.
3.
Click on “Repeating Gift” and then, in the “Choose Designation” box, select “General Fund 2022”.
4.
Complete the other boxes that ask for your amount (per time) and frequency; and in the “Starting Date” box, select January 10, 2022, or any date after the 10th of January (this will ensure that your amount won't pull from your account, prior to 2022 starting).
In this example below, the individual is giving $100, monthly, “until 12 gifts have been made”
for a total 2022 gift of $1,200.
And you're good to go!
